Our end of Epsom is getting ready for the Derby too, with bunting and plastic flowers having appeared around some of the shops opposite the important bit of public art called 'The Evocation of Speed'. Opposite Wetherspoon's too, who usually do a good trade on race days. Up to and including the odd top hat.
Furthermore, a new slots joint has popped up to replace the one that used to occupy the premises which were once the Wellington. This last being a house which carried on selling sandwiches and pies long after casual dining had moved in. Slots to be seen nearest the red light in the snap above.
