Rural retreat

An investment opportunity in Hawkchurch, near Axminster, made it to one of London's free papers yesterday. A cottage in need of some repair with a guide price of £35,000. Set in a quarter an acre of unspoilt countryside. Stunning views across the Blackwater valley. Excellent access to Lambert's Castle for those fond of golden spades. For sale by auction at Axminster in November.

Located on the B3165, a little to the south of Bridewell. The square dot just above the road, just above where the blue 'P' is. The cottage is to be found on Google Street View, although I failed to pick up the car park.

While Microsoft Windows seemed to get into a serious muddle with a file in WebP format, at least in so far as File Explorer and related pop-ups were concerned on this laptop. Perhaps all to do with this format being something from Google, not recognised in the Microsoft world.
