Fake 126

I came across this picture, of an unrooted tree in Morgan City, Louisiana, in yesterday's Guardian. In which it is clear that the lawn is a fake from the way that it has been pulled up by the tree. A thick, textured carpet, probably laid directly on the subsoil, whatever that might be. Given that we are in the estuary-land of southern Louisiana, some combination of sand, silt and mud?

I have not always succeeded in lifting pictures from the Guardian website, so I asked Bing for Shutterstock, to whom credit had been given, and Bing gave me Shutterstock Germany (for some reason), from which the image above is taken.

I associate to the advertising pavement slabs of reference 3: free slab (or in this case, picture) if you don't mind the advertisement.
