Eco-roof

The eco-roof of the superior cycle shed at Ewell West station caught my eye this morning as I walked over the railway, towards the end of the third of the four legs of the Ewell Village Anti-clockwise. I find on checking that it has not changed that much since I last snapped it, just over a couple of years ago, included at reference 1.

On this occasion, the zoom of the first snap does not seem to have added anything to the original above. And seems to have lost the compositional balance of that original. I guess that all the Photos application is doing is cropping the original and blowing up what is left: you only get more information about the roof by doing more at the telephone end. Maybe the whizzy new cameras in newer telephones - I believe a new Samsung telephone sports five lenses to my two - one front and one back - include zoom lenses.

I also noticed that one of the flats behind the bank with the blackberries had seen fit to dump a pile of mattresses and such like right outside their own flat, between the wall of their modest block of flats and the embankment of the road leading up onto the bridge. I wonder what the flat in question is like inside?
