Trolley, from Waitrose for a change, was capture in the Kokoro passage. The flap at the back had somehow got outside the trolley, and defied my modest attempts to push it back in, so the trolley was taken round the back, to the Waitrose goods entrance. Where a partner on a fag break told me he would attend to it. A large screwdriver might serve.
Along to East Street and then round by the underpass to Screwfix, from where I was able to admire the up and coming daisy display outside what was, until recently, the UK HQ of the Tchibo coffee operation. Their website at reference 3 still looks to list this building, and Bing is not turning up any trouble, so who knows exactly what is going on. One would have thought they would be careful about such things. Last noticed at reference 4 - but none of the orchids mentioned there were visible on this occasion.
Leaving aside the flaky appearance of the path adjacent, the celandines doing much better by the side of the stream running along Longmead Road than those in our back garden. But then these ones get rather more sun than ours.
And so on to TB, where there were no less than five vans parked in the road outside, generally fuelling the parking congestion around the nearby Costcutter. But I did learn that the refurbishment was nearing completion and we might see another grand opening before too long. Hope so. Checking at reference 2, it seems that this is the third time that Vidette have attended in force in as many years.
