Amazon would have done better

I don't think Amazon would ever have sent me an email like the one above from eBay - with only about a quarter of the full, fully incomprehensible, text being included in the snap above.

I think I know what the email is about and what it signifies from the title - missing from the snap above - but why could they not have done something about the text, about the body of the email? 

Not the first time that I have thought that Amazon have been a lot more careful about their customer facing computer systems than eBay. I suppose also, leaving aside their initial, shrewd investment in good quality systems, Amazon can now afford to spend to do the job properly. A smartly turned out corporate system, much the same as one expects from a Microsoft or an IBM.
