Wellingtonia 85

The first of the Wellingtonia captured in the gardens of Osborne House, in the middle of last month. We might have taken up residence underneath, out of the sun, but that spot had been taken by another couple.

The gent. of the pair was a little bemused when I asked if he had seen any more of them on his travels around the gardens, but he warmed up to the extent of getting his map out (the same as the one BH had in her bag) and indicating where most of the fancy trees were to be found.

A tree in reasonable health, despite the yellow grass and exposed position. Maybe helped along by the sea mists of the winter.
