This trolley was clocked while I was returning Trolley 459 to base at Kiln Lane, one of the heavy duty trolleys offered by Sainsbury's, with a sack rack below. Perhaps intended for those buying large bags of bread flour or dog food.
At the top of the alley leading to the Thames Water yard on the northern side of East Street, a little to the east of the Telephone Exchange. Or perhaps what used to be the telephone exchange in the days of crossbar. In any event, now looking a bit tired and shabby.
Returned to the special needs section between Timpson's and the main entrance to the Sainsbury's store at Kiln Lane.
Rewarded by no less than two washers and one nearly new Post Office rubber band to add to my collections of same.
Cut back through the tunnel under the railway leading to Screwfix on Blenheim Road, rather than resuming the Ewell Village anti-clockwise. Passed on the trolley near Screwfix. The late start and dealing with the two previous trolleys had left me a bit short of morning.
