Trolley 666

The number of this trolley is, according to some authorities, the number of the first beast of the apocalypse, sketched out in the snap above - in which, for some reason, Microsoft's snipping tool insisted that at least one verse was highlighted.

According other authorities, it is an angel number. And there are plenty of other apocalyptic authorities out there, both ancient and modern.

The trolley in question, from B&M was found next to the stand which, at busier times, is manned, in the central aisle and collecting money for the Ukrainians. Which is clearly telling us that the Beast in question is really President Putin.

Returned to B&M, where I found where they had put the trolley stack. I also wondered whether Wanzl, leading supplier of trolleys to our leading supermarkets, as a relatively old company, have got locked into old engineering - and that the Chinese, relatively new to this particular game, have been able to bring a new design and new technology to market. Just the thing for new players like B&M, Lidl and Aldi.

I rewarded myself with some Bastides (just chemicals, not truffles or anything else like that), some kippers (Craster) and a Guardian from Waitrose. The Guardian turned out to be strong on ladies' news.

PS 1: prompted by the first of the snaps above, Google Images returns lots of images of text from online Bibles, some from this particular Bible. So far, so good. But it doesn't attempt to read the chapter title and get the right text. Not so good.

PS 2: two thirds of the way now to my year target of 100 trolleys, taking me to 700. Also two thirds of the way to my lifetime target of 1,000 trolleys. There must be some special significance about these two targets being aligned in this way. Make a note to talk to Mystic Meg.
