After trolley 651, I carried on up East Street. It being fairly late in the afternoon after a substantial lunch, I was not up for a full Ewell Village anti-clockwise. But would I opt for the Screwfix underpass or the Gas Depot footbridge? Eventually opting for the latter, rewarded by a now rare Sainsbury's trolley as snapped above.
Returned to a Sainsbury's which at around 16:30 was just dropping the shutters inside the front entrance, while the car park was near empty. Just a few trolley jockeys collecting up the many strays scattered around. With the stacks outside the front entrance being as full as I had ever seen them.
At which point I decided that an assault on the umbrella plants was in order and took lots of snaps, including the one above. I shall report on this assault later. Suffice to say now that some of them have put on a lot of growth it not many days. See reference 2.
Still two vans in the vicinity of what was the Tchibo warehouse.
Plus a striking vapour trail, which appeared to come to a dead stop in mid-air. As ever, rather more striking in real life than it appears here.
A bit further on, maybe a kilometre further on, in Lower Court Road, a quite different view of the same trail, with a rather faint trail now visible beyond what had been the dead stop. A rather faint trail which itself then came to a dead stop. Maybe some of this is due to stray gusts of wind disturbing or dispersing chunks of trail.
The session closed with a large trolley in pale green livery in Manor Green Road. However - first because our drive and garage is presently cluttered with kitchen stuff and so BH would not be best pleased to be pushed into giving it room; and, second because the trolley handle failed to say where the trolley was from and I could not think who used this particular colour - I decided to leave it alone. Let someone else score it.
