Billing and cooing

Much billing, if not cooing, going on the fence outside our front window, very much along the lines of the snap above turned up by Google, which did better on the clue 'billing and cooing' than Bing, at least for present purposes. Don't seem bothered by the late afternoon heat at all, although they were in the shade of the house.

All very cuddly, with none of the strutting and posturing we often see on our back lawn, never mind at places like Trafalgar Square or St. James's Park. Perhaps they have already done that bit and are moving onto the more intimate stage.
