Spotted in Shanklin High Street, on our way to the Chine. A Roland electrical. In a shop which we thought had been one of those tea shops where they make a great parade of fancy teapots and so forth.
A little work with Street View and the reflection in the window and I find the place, a hundred yards or so from where I had remembered it to be. The pet parlour, the two bay windows and a round topped door (not visible in the snap above) do the business, clinched by the 'award winning canine stylist'.
The tea shop in Street View is not quite what I remember either, but at least it is a tea shop. Perhaps it went through the odd make-over before expiring? The shops in this bit of high street do seem to turn over at a fair rate, perhaps reflecting the difficulty of making a living there, from what is probably a declining footfall.
