A short head

I have been having something of a run of wins at Scrabble over the past few days, then this afternoon I had a very slow start, overrun with vowels, and I thought that BH was in with a chance. However, as things turned out, she lost by one point on the raw score and was finished off by the penalty of ten for the 'Z' which she was unable to dump in time.

Along the way I had used the word 'waxen' and I worried about whether it was obsolete or something, which would have tainted my victory, but as it turned out it was all present and correct in OED, rating several column inches, including two short entries for a couple of usages that really were obsolete.

Coronation biscuits out of Sainsbury's, sired by McVitie's. Only slightly swizzed by there being a false bottom in plastic, cutting down on the depth of the chocolate flavoured items.

PS: image courtesy of Samsung, via gmail. Different aspect ratio - more height relative to width - to the snaps from the Microsoft camera, but maybe that is something that can be tweaked - if one studies the manual or asks Bing.
