Red tweet

We quite often see kestrels and buzzards from the A303, and today was no different with something of the sort over the hedgerow at the side of the road, somewhere to the west of Andover.

Then, a bit nearer Andover, we had several sightings of red kites with their distinctive forked tails. One of them being close enough - less than twenty feet - to show off its golden brown underparts - including here the underside of the tail, often white in snaps turned up by Bing. All rather spectacular.
