A trolley from Waitrose captured at the Station Approach end of the Kokoro passage from the High Street.
Not for the first time, I noticed the ugly patch of the corner of the brickwork. Hopefully it will eventually tone down. I think the idea is that the wet mortar pressing into the three holes from the left provides a far stronger key than that you would get with a flush brick, with this last apt to fall away at the first tap of the cold chisel.
Much less work at this point in the life cycle than cutting back and fitting retaining, galvanised steel angle irons, or anything else along those lines.
Furthermore, following the senior moment reported yesterday at reference 2, there is a second moment to report this morning.
There was another Waitrose trolley at the bottom of the ramp, which I gathered up along the way. Two trolleys scored as one as they were returned as one.
But there were also two M&S food hall trolleys, one small and one large. I returned from Waitrose to pick them up, returning them as one, as with the small trolley inside the large trolley, not too bad for the short distance across the market place. Returned to the stacks at the back of the store, where I found that no provision had been made for large trolleys. While in the store, everybody that I saw was either shopping without basket or trolley or with just a basket. With the one exception of a young man with a large trolley. So where had all the small trolleys gone? What were we supposed to do with large trolleys?
I had been thinking to score these two trolleys as one, making a total for the day of two scored. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of them, with the committee ruling on this occasion that there could be no score without telephonic evidence. Or as they say at Barchester Homes, if you don't write down what you have done, you haven't done it. This in connection with the quality control of the administration of drugs and other medical interventions.
