The largest Wellingtonia we saw in Bedgebury Pinetum, next to the lake which marks the boundary with Bedgebury Park.
The view from the bottom.
While around the back we had what we were pleased to call the knitting needle tree: almost as tall as its next door neighbour, but a good deal slimmer. We did not think to walk across and find its label.
The base of the tree. At least I think it is, except that the time stamp does not quite compute.
And beyond that, the largest Leylandii hedge in the world, up on the crest of the hill. To be noticed properly in due course, but first advertised at reference 2.
