Trolley 468

I had marked down a Waitrose trolley on Station Approach on our way to Epsom Station on Sunday, but it had gone by the time I got back this Tuesday morning.

But there was consolation in the form of this M&S food hall trolley at the top of the ramp down through the car park to the passage leading to the High Street.

32 to go until the half thousand. Can't be many weeks away now so time to start thinking about an appropriate celebration.

Trolley collecting appears to have got off to a slightly wobbly start back in the middle of 2014 by fishing a large trolley out of the stream down Longmead Road, as recorded at reference 2, more than seven years ago. At least two of the trolleys from that time appear to have been captured overseas. And an average, over the whole period, of well under 100 trolleys a year, although the pace was picking up in 2019, before the plague struck. A small part of the collection, from 2014, is snapped above.
