Trolleys 826 and 827

Returning the trolley scored at reference 2 to Kiln Lane meant a Screwfix circuit in the wrong direction, wrong in the sense that I usually do this circuit anti-clockwise rather than clockwise. And it usually manages to surprise me how different things look when coming at them from the other side.

On this occasion, having been told of significant mixer waggon action by BH, I was able to inspect the new concrete decking at the house by the stream which is not, after all, being demolished. New concrete decking which does not, I think, have the benefit of drilled piles, so let us hope it has that of dug footings.

Presumably the decking is the footprint of the new house to be. Presumably the services survive from the old house. Just leaving me wondering what the garage shaped slot front left is about. And then, where did the mixer waggons come from? One does pass a concrete yard on the train to Waterloo, somewhere north of Wimbledon, but that one does not seem very likely.

Footprint up to a point. It now looks like the garage shaped slot is going to be the garage. Furthermore, it looks like that the top floor is going to be the new master bedroom with all the usual facilities. There are also documents to do with flooding.

But all will no doubt be revealed in due course. In the meantime, the curious can inquire about application 23/00637/FLH, now two years old.

On round to Kiln Lane, where my trolley was snapped up on arrival, trolleys of this size being otherwise absent, and from there back into town, where I picked up this medium small trolley from M&S from the East Street end of the High Street.

And then this small trolley from outside T K Maxx.

Later in the day, following a well deserved victory at Scrabble, a novelty in the soup department. Knorr chicken noodle, supplemented with left-over rice and a stump of chou pointu to cover the mono-sodium flavouring from Knorr. The novelty was the addition of a chopped Turkish tomato to give it a bit of colour - something I do not recall ever doing, although I believe some foreigners add tomatoes to their soups. I might say that it worked rather well.

PS: it was cold again this morning, so I resumed duffel coat and scarf. But I drew the line at gloves in May.
