On the 9th April I started noticing what I know as the whitebeam of Screwfix passage again. As noticed a couple of years ago, for example, at reference 1. More than 250 trolleys ago.
On this occasion, just coming into leaf. I worried about the ivy, which needed to be cut out at the base before it does too much damage. Am I busy enough to take the job on? I think I have done such things in the past.
While on West Hill, in the margins of the gas works there, we had one of those suction excavators which are popping up all over the place now. This one, possibly one of those which live at the gas depot next to the Blenheim Road tip.
The telephone did not have as much trouble with this red transit van and it has with similarly bright flowers. A paint job which includes the door handles as well as the wing mirrors - to my mind, a step too far. The outsides of the handles at least should have been black.
Spring life by the side of the Longmead Road stream. Notice how the telephone has blanked out some of the bright yellow dandelions.
Then six days later, on the 15th April.
Then again, on the 20th April.
