Trolley 811

A small Sainsbury's trolley, captured outside the school in Pound Lane. Given that I was on my way home at that point, taken home for overnight safe keeping.

Where he found a friend.

Were the two bolts at the right hand end of the handle, something to do with a missing chain lock? As it was, a minor hazard to the right hand.

PS: the scene at the Ginger Pig at Borough today, contributed by a correspondent. A well stocked and attractive display. A lot of pork right and more variation left. The pig's head reminds me that we did once make brawn and we took brawn sandwiches on white for a picnic in London, perhaps in the region of the Tower of London. I don't suppose we will ever make brawn again, and it is quite likely that we will never even see it again.

More prosaically, maybe I ought to give their pork belly a go. The stuff we get from Sainsbury's is not very good at all, nothing like the stuff we once got from Lyme Regis (reference 3). I don't suppose Ginger Pig will be up to that standard, but they should be able to match Ben the Butcher (reference 4).

And I see from reference 2 that they offer butchery courses as well as butchery. I was briefly attracted - but then remembered that I am both on blood thinners and rather accident prone - not a good combination for a day's knife work.
