Captured up on Station Approach. The idea had been to collect the two in the passage on the way back to M&S, but it turned out that one was badly damaged and the two of them were jammed together. Left for the foot patrol to deal with later.
Took a turn around the market to see what was cooking there. Not terribly busy, but there were two fruit and veg stalls, mainly fruit. But one of them was operated by a barker who would have been more than a match for Discount Dave, in his day renowned for his loud, rude and sometimes offensive patter. The ladies loved it. Today's chap managed to be loud and funny without being rude, although I dare say he could do that too. I wondered if he had any special voice training to be able to keep it up for hours. One would have thought it a bit of a strain, even if there were two of them to take turns, which, in this case, there were not.
Caught for £5 worth of Brussels sprouts. 4lbs and 4oz of sprouts not in the first flush of freshness, but which should be good for a few days yet.
A shot which the Samsung clearly found challenging as it took six goes to get this far. Window left.
Rounded off the proceedings by learning all about ice-wine, otherwise eiswein. A type of sweet dessert wine made by crushing late harvested grapes while they are still frozen. I think the idea is that the frozen water is left behind while you work with the sweet liquor - so you must have to be a bit careful about how you do the crushing. Once a German flavoured speciality, now taken over by the Canadians. With the Peller of reference 3 having once been a Hungarian rather than a German.
All looks rather like our own Denbies, on the way to Dorking, but I dare say it is a good deal hotter in the summer - as well as being a good deal colder in the winter. But not a vine in sight.
Amazon will do you the wine, at a rate equivalent to around £150 for a standard bottle. Rather feeble at just over 10% active ingredients, not counting the sugar.

'We ensure our Icewine is always picked at temperatures at least -10ÂșC, with the grapes frozen on the vine and hand-picked in the middle of the cold Canadian night. Once picked, the grapes are pressed immediately while still frozen. Each frozen grape yields just one drop of intensely frozen juice'. No wonder the stuff is expensive.
