We had a sharp shower this morning, maybe around 07:30, maybe lasting 5 minutes or so. Then it was very bright and cheerful and now, at 09:30, all dull and overcast again.
The telephone did capture the rain, very visible in the top half, but did not do so well with all the water on the extension roof.
One wonders how much rain we have had altogether over the past few days, after a longish period without any. And why it is that there is so little water in the stream running from Stamford Green down to the Hogsmill? Is it all just soaking into the ground, replenishing the water table, rather than washing down to the Thames at Kingston?
