Piano 105

Captured in the impressive church of St. Mary of Battersea, right on the river, in the course of what was supposed to be an outing to Battersea Park, to be reported on in due course.

From K. Kawai, whom I did not recall coming across before. But checking today, another memory failure, with pianos No.6 (2019) and No.49 (2021) both being from same. A Japanese company with a Malaysian angle. Good job I checked.

Given the general tone of the place, it seemed quite likely that it got a reasonable amount of use. Probably tuned up and ready to go, although I did not try hitting any keys.

An oddity was it appearing to have been originally sold by A. A. Music of Lisburn, alive and well at reference 6. Perhaps gifted to the church by someone who moved to Battersea from the other island? If we ever go back there, something to ask the church warden.
