Started with a medium small trolley from the M&S food hall. Nothing in the passages on this occasion. Nothing to do with the person sitting in front of it.
On through town, Middle Lane and the Screwfix passage. Just before which last the convolvulus was in fine white, velvety form in the bright morning sunlight. Looked very handsome against the green.
With the distinctive, black & white police helicopter hovering behind. On this occasion the place of interest appeared to be the Longmead housing estate, which made a change from Court Recreation Ground.
A close up of one of the flowers, another flower with a five pointed central structure. With zoom revealing clusters of new-to-me black lines radiating out from that structure. I thought that the telephone did quite a good job on this occasion considering the depth of focus required.
The whitebeam.
Nearer home, what I had thought was the Thames Water version of the vacuum excavators being deployed by the gas board - but closer inspection suggests flushing the lines rather than digging holes.
Water melon, another first of the season, going down. Purchase to be reported in due course. If it scores against my fluid intake, I suppose a whole slice, as fat as the half slice above, would count as a mug of tea, say 250cc. Maybe I will ask nurse. Maybe I should crush a slice into a mug to check? Then put the crushed melon in the fridge to cool it, then whack it down? What young people know as sludges, or perhaps slurps?
