Jigsaw 20, Series 3, Report No.2

As noted at reference 1, the rematch has got off to a slow start, although by day four, I had finished the boundary and made a useful start to the two right hand sectors.

Earlier in the day, I had been impressed by the vigorous growth of the grass over what had been a trench for a new gas main over Clay Hill Green back in June last year and noticed at reference 2. OK, so they did quite a good job of making good and reseeding, but the new grass is going much better than I can manage on our back lawn. Maybe digging the trench and so thoroughly aerating the clay for which green is named is good for the grass. Plus it gets a lot more sun than our back lawn.

Then down East Street what seemed like a giant, new-to-me trolley from Lidl, quite unlike the Sainsbury's equivalent.

But it was made by Wanzl, the people that seem to have got a grip on all the big grocery chains.

However, turning to the archive today, I find that it is not that different to the Sainsbury's equivalent, just a bit of detailing really. I suppose my excuse is that I didn't used to capture large trolleys from Sainsbury's very often and almost never - if ever - use one in-store. See reference 3.

Both Bing and Google know all about it on search key 'Wanzl ELX248B', with Bing supplying the name 'Maxi-Cosi-Halterung Einkaufswagen mit 211 Liter Korbvolumen'. A modest 79 euros in Germany. While something called Onefeed offers lots of exotics. Let's hope my very modest interest does not earn me lots of junk mail.
