Trolley capture resumed after the break with two trolleys from the M&S food hall, just outside the top of the Kokoro passage. I think the blue car noticed at reference 2 was on station.
Returned to the food hall in the usual way, after which I took a look at the promotional E3 from KIA parked in the market square. KIA, perhaps best known in this country as an economy brand, is of present interest. This E3 was a smart enough looking car, inside and out, and I could get into it without difficulty - this being a consideration these days. But rather more than we were thinking of spending: the full electric is still coming a bit dear, just like the electric boiler which we failed to buy earlier in the year.
On to inspect the now completed steel work on the Majestic site on East Street. Still not clear why the central section involves heavier steel than front and back. Maybe this will become clear when the building is occupied.
On through the Screwfix passage, right to get to Felstead Road, the home of KIA - and the Nissan operation snapped above.
Into KIA, where I was able to inspect a Picanto (£16,065), an XCeed (£27,185) and a Niro (£35,290). With the first of these being surprisingly roomy inside for a small car. Ending up slightly confused by what seemed to be the disconnect between what was offered on the KIA website and what was on show at Felstead Road. Are KIA continually fiddling with the names of their cars? But more about all this in due course: episode 4 to follow episode 3 at reference 3.
Out to find the Hook Road end of the stream running down Longmead Road was running high. There must have been a lot more rain overnight than I had realised.
And even higher where the storm drain joined in. Maybe there had been flooding at the other end, something that happens from time to time?
Proceedings rounded off by the first Epsom blackberries of the season. Having been pipped at the post by some Ryde blackberries to be reported on in due course. Rather more of them than appear in the snap above. The stream - vaguely visible left - was quite busy here too.
PS: a few days previously, a lady on the Sandown esplanade who had taken drink, was sure that my umbrella, visible above, was from Legal & General. But she was quite pleased when I explained that actually it had come from a car boot sale. Serving as a sunshade at the time. As it happened, one of her companions was a very dark shade of brown, more or less all over, clearly much keener on taking the sun than I.
