No.932 was a Sainsbury's trolley, captured in East Street in the gap between Jukes House and Defoe Court.
Which found a friend, just inside the Sainsbury's perimeter, by the old style street food caravan outside Wickes. Old style in the sense of bacon sandwiches and stuff like that. I would not normally collect trolleys which were already on site, but I thought that this was probably a bit off-piste for the trolley man. Not a corner that he would visit that often. In any event, non scoring.
On to inspect the few month old bee hotel on the far side. Some of the tubes looked blocked, but whether this amounted to bee action I couldn't say.
The seriously large leaved ivy, down the side passage leading to the footbridge over the railway. Mentioned in the context of a railway embankment at reference 1. Must remember to take a tape or a ruler next time I think I might be going this way.
A fine show of sumac growing in what must be the cracks between the asphalt path and the brick wall (of Travis Perkins, lately Epsom Coaches). Gas Depot left, complete with two or three suction excavators.
The queue for the tip, looking north up Blenheim Road from Felstead Road (the home of Kia). This being around 11:30 on a Sunday morning. There was some digger action when I went past the tip, so maybe they stop cars for the duration.
Having bought a fine cauliflower from the market the day before, home to knock up some cauliflower cheese. Stalks cooked first, for something between five and ten minutes, florets just blanched for a minute or. Three quarters of a pint of cheese sauce. 45 minutes at 175°C. BH would have liked it better had the florets been more than blanched. While I would have liked it better had there been a pint rather three quarters of a pint of sauce. Which included plenty of cheese and a dollop of English mustard.
Served with brown rice and grilled tenderloin. Something more fatty might have been better, perhaps a little pork belly.
Plus a spot of left over Malbec from Argentina. With the vacuum seal noticed, for example, at reference 2, it had kept pretty well, for near a week.
I wonder if the front and rear labels where actually the same size and shape?
From reference 3. Very nearly the same label - but the changes might be significant, like those between red and blue label JW.
