Fake 185

Another green fake. With most, if not all, of the Christmas trees scattered around the Ashley Centre being fakes, that is to say a confection of steel wire and some sort of green stuff, stuff which is unlikely to involve anything of vegetable origin. This one just outside the newly refurbished Wetherspoon's.

The electrical arrangements seemed to be quite complicated with the grey box visible in the first snap being connected to the top of the gate post behind the camera in the second. I failed to work out where the power was actually coming from.

Home to another round of lentil soup. Kicked off an hour before the off with 5oz orange lentils in two and a half pints of water. The lentils having been rinsed a couple of times in cold water first - with the water from the first rinsing being quite milky in appearance, from the second rather less so.

Cook some garlic, onion and bacon in a little butter on the side. In that order. Bacon the so-called dry cured streaky from M&S previously noticed. Thin cut, certainly.

Cut up some white cabbage. Put it all together between five and ten minutes from the off, depending how you like your white cabbage.

Very good for lunch it was too. A last portion finished off a bit later on. While BH, full of festive lunch, did not get to taste what she was missing. Rounded off with a little of the Stilton (a purchase yet to be reported), Carr's water biscuits and quite a few black grapes from Waitrose.

PS: interested to see that Open AI, the non-profit, do-gooder artificial intelligence outfit, already grappling with its non-profit status, has now moved in a year from not taking defence work to getting stuck in. I dare say the people at Google, the company that started out - a long time ago now - with a motto about doing no evil, are looking a bit smug. I also read at reference 3 that Google had walk-outs in 2018 by staff who did not want to do war work. Sadly, I don't think that that is a very credible position any more. We in the west need to look to our defence - no doubt provoking some further response from paranoia putin. Hopefully only the bluster of a bully whose bluff has been called.
