This being a place holder for the fifth and what will probably be the last volume of the pumpkin stroke marrow saga, initiated one Sunday lunchtime when we had taken on enough booze to find the name funny. Even the best jokes wear a bit thin with time.
I elected to use one of the blog templates supplied, rather than create something of my own, and the way that this template indexed posts meant that the index became cumbersome after a few years. So it seemed right, after a few years, to move on.
Now it seems right to move on after every 2,000 posts or so. I think this is a hangover from the world of (IT) work, where a good general principle was that you should not let things get too big - otherwise the supporting infrastructure starts to creak and may crack wide open.
So for the record, the five volumes follow.
Volume 1: http://www.pumpkinstrokemarrow.blogspot.co.uk/. First post Tuesday October 21st 2006. More or less on retirement from the world of work.
Volume 2: http://www.psmv2.blogspot.co.uk/. More or less activated Monday 10th September 2012.
Volume 3: http://psmv3.blogspot.co.uk/. Activated Friday 4th February 2016.
Volume 4: http://psmv4.blogspot.co.uk/. Pending.
Volume 5: the present blog. Pending.
