Up the garden the other day, near the brick compost heap, I was struck by this fungal attempt to break through the wet, cold and dreary weather. This snap does not capture the wonderful delicacy of the attempt, but it will serve as a souvenir.

While nearer the house, the jelly lichen was having a go.
And bizarre under zoom. One wonders about the algorithms which are doing this; making a picture out of not enough pixels.
Just about a year ago - reference 1 - seems a long time for the last mention of the jelly lichen, but that is the best that I can do this afternoon.
